What this site is
retromodlab.com is a hobby blog by Ludovic Verbeeck about Nintendo handhelds: homebrew, mods, repairs and the tools I build. Everything here is for information only.
Modding is at your own risk
Installing custom firmware, flashing loaders, opening consoles and soldering can damage your hardware, void its warranty or lose your saves. I only describe what worked on my own consoles. Back up your data, read each project's own instructions, and follow any guide here at your own risk.
No piracy
This site never links to ROMs, game dumps or piracy tools. Projects that need game files need your own, legally made copies.
Trademarks and other people's work
Nintendo, DS, 3DS and Switch are trademarks of Nintendo. This site is not affiliated with Nintendo. Homebrew projects mentioned here belong to their authors, who are credited and linked in each post.
My content
The text, pixel art and design of this site are mine. Quoting a short excerpt with a link back is welcome; copying whole posts is not. My own tools are released under the licence stated in their repositories.
Liability
The site is provided as is. To the fullest extent the law allows, I am not liable for any damage that comes from using this site or acting on its content.
